General Information about Update Service Plan
This procedure is a part of the supplement Service Management.
Why Use This Procedure?
In this procedure you register service plans. A service plan consists of one or several service occasions. The service plan shows in which order the service shall be performed and with which interval.
In the Update Part procedure under the Sales tab you will find a button called Service plan. Here you can select which service plan/plans that shall apply to the part.
Under the Service plan tab in the Update Product Register procedure you can use the button called "Load service plan" to choose which service plan/plans that will be the basis for the serial number's service book. You can choose between the service plans entered for the part, but you can also choose another plan. You must enter a start date for the service plan. When the service plans are loaded they are turned into a service book including several service occasions.
All rows that are loaded are given status Active. You can uncheck the box called Active for service rows that shall not be performed. You can also delete service rows.
By using the button called Service plan you will see which service plans that have been loaded to the serial number. Here you can change the start date for the remaining service rows. You can also delete remaining service rows.
If you have configured that the meter reading, running time or cycles shall determine when a service shall be performed, the row is shown in bold font under the Service plan tab in the product register when the value of these exceeds the value entered on the service plan row.
You can release a service plan row into an actual order. This can be made under the Service plan tab in the product register or in the Service Plan List procedure.
In the header you enter a service plan number (alphanumerical) and name.
Deleting Service Plans
If you delete a service plan a check is made to see if the service plan already is registered on a part. If you delete a service plan, it will also be deleted from the parts.
