Prerequisites for Connecting Remote Access Users/Networks

In this description details regarding installation and configuration of VPN networks connections, VPN clients and equipment from third party makes, will not be dealt with. For this kind of information we refer you to the documentation of the respective products.

The below prerequisites apply in networks with Windows Active Directory (AD) and Windows 2008 R2/2012/7/8 computers.

The remote user's account in AD must have access to the domain via the remote access with VPN ("Dial-in" - "Remote Access Permission").
Remote users need to have the same access rights to the Monwin folder including sub-folders on MONITOR's database server as the other local MONITOR users.
