Default Printer for Respective User

You can select default printers for each type of printout in MONITOR per user. The printer first has to be defined in the Printers procedure where a connection to the printer procedures in Windows is entered. By using default printer the printouts are facilitated since the affected printers will be selected by default during printout.

The different types of printouts for which you can select default printers are:

Lists

Here you select a default printer for printouts from all list procedures.

Manufacturing Order

Here you select a default printer for printouts of work cards, travelers etc.

Customer Order

Here you select a default printer for printouts of quotes, order confirmations and delivery note to customer order.

Invoice

Here you select a default printer for printouts of invoices.

Purchase Order

Here you select a default printer for printouts of inquiries, purchase orders, delivery notes, order confirmations and subcontract documents.

Address Label

Here you select a default printer for printouts of shipping address labels to laser printer.

Fax Printer

This applies to system printouts that can be sent directly via fax.

External 1-3

Here you select up to three different default printers for printouts of linked documents (used when the supplement Document Viewing is installed).

Special 1-3

The different transport labels are printed using the printers in the table below.

* Transport label 2D normally has the same size as a regular transport label.
** Transport label EDI (KLT) prints the inner packaging that is linked as KLT Package. This applies to G-parts with the setting Inner packaging set to Yes, KLT Package (Small Load Carrier).

When printing transport labels from other procedures in the system, Special 2 is always used.

Special 1-3 can also be used for printouts that do not fall under any of the above classification (for example customer-specific printouts).

Shipping Label

This field applies to printouts of shipping labels (STE) to special Zebra printers. (For valid Zebra printer, read more under Printers in What Kind of Computer Equipment Do I Need chapter in the MONITOR Basics guide).

Waybill

This field applies to printouts of SIS Waybills.
