When scanning the bar code, the quantity is loaded to this field. During manual registration, this field always displays 0 by default.
You can enter a smaller quantity than the row's rest quantity, if you are reporting a partial delivery. You can also enter a quantity that is greater than the rest quantity, if you are reporting a so-called "excess delivery". When you save the row, the Quantity to report is deducted from the order's rest quantity and the stock balance for the part is updated unless it does not require receiving inspection. If a receiving inspection is required, the arrival reported parts are instead placed in a receiving inspection register in the meantime.
