Alternatives

Here you make selections of how to calculate the mean price.

Oldest Purchase Date

Here you enter from which date the calculation should be made. If you enter the date 2011-01-01 the calculation will be performed based on purchases made from that date and up to now. If you leave the field empty, the calculation is performed based on all purchase statistics back in time.

Purchases

Here you will find both minimum and maximum quantity fields. In the Min qty field you enter the minimum number of purchases that must have been made of the part in order to calculate. If the number of purchases falls below the minimum quantity level, a price alternative will be used as mean price. This is entered under Priority if price is missing.

In the Max qty field you enter the maximum number of purchases on which you want to base the calculation. If you, for example, have entered 10 in the Max qty field but the number of purchases made is 15, the calculation will be based on 10 purchases. If the number of purchases is 8, the calculation is performed based on these 8. However, the calculation will not be performed on a smaller quantity then the quantity entered in the Min qty field.

Weighted Price

Here you choose if the procedure shall consider the purchased volume on each occasion when calculating mean price. See the following sample of calculation:

5000

Purchase 2

600

1200

Purchase 3

Mean price: 1600 / 3 = 533.33

Weighted price: 500 x 10 / 15 + 600 x 2 / 15 + 500 x 3 / 15 = 513,33
