Here is a sample of a list after an EOQ calculation.
Printout sample in the Calculate EOQ procedure.
The list shows the following: Part number, Name, Part type (T), Part value, Part code, Part category (Cat.), ABC code, Lot sizing rule (LSR), Annual volume, Unit, Prior EOQ, New EOQ, Diff % (the difference between prior EOQ and new EOQ in percent) and Save (select which rows you want to save). If there is a red exclamation mark (!) in the F column this indicates that the lot sizing rule F (Fixed quantity) may not be adequate for this part.
If the new EOQ value comes from a calculation using Wilson's formula, the EOQ value is written using a normal thin font. However, if the new EOQ value has been calculated using Order / year, the value is written in bold italic font.
You can modify the new EOQ value before you save. When you save, the parts EOQ is updated. If you were to filter the list after calculating the new EOQ, only the parts that were included in the list when you saved will be updated (in other words, not all the parts that were initially included in the calculation).
You can view and update new EOQ in work days, provided that the part has got an annual volume. In order to do this you must select the option Show in work days which can be found in the Info menu using the right mouse button. When you have selected this option, the affected columns will be shown in italics.
