This alternative is only available if the Turnover Rate list type is selected. This makes it possible to calculate actual turnover rate for the range of parts. Actual turnover rate is calculated on the actual consumption and current average stock for the last year or another period, based on the inventory log.
When you have selected this alternative, you must also enter a period that will be used as a basis for actual turnover rate. The default selection is one year back in time from today's date.
By activating the setting Save act. turnover ratio it is also possible to save the actual turnover ratio per part in the range of parts. The turnover ratio is the turnover rate of a part.
The actual turnover rate calculation is made in the list by using the Run alternative under Window functions.
The comparison between calculated and actual turnover ratio will not be accurate in case the period for the actual turnover ratio is less than a year. The average stock does not change much, but the consumption can change a lot if the time interval is changed. You can then select Properties... under the Info menu which you access by right-clicking over the column Calc. turnover ratio. In the window that appears you can in the Expression field reduce the annual quantity so that the calculated turnover ratio will apply for the corresponding period. For example, with an interval of 182 days, it will be Annual quantity / 365 x 182. Or the opposite, increase the actual turnover ratio to apply for an entire year. In other words, increase the consumption = increase the turnover ratio by a factor.
