The ABC code is a volume value code used for the part. You register ABC codes in the ABC Codes procedure in the Global Settings module.
Volume value code = Price x Annual quantity, classified in intervals. The intervals for code A, B, C, etc., as well as the calculation, can be made in the Volume Value Analysis procedure. The prerequisite for calculating ABC codes, is that the Annual Volume and the price that is used as a basis for the calculation, have both been updated on the part. You can also enter an ABC code directly on the part, without making the calculation.
ABC codes are also used as selection terms in different lists, such as Requirement Calculation.
