Work Flow Without Order Suggestions
Another way of applying requirement calculations is to manually register manufacturing orders and purchase orders for the shortages that occur. The alternatives Parts with shortage or Parts with definite shortage under Show... are selected, but not the Order suggestions option. The alternative Detailed is selected under Level under the Create tab.
- First a requirement calculation is run for all the M-parts, S-parts and F-parts using Display List.
- Afterward the list is printed to be used as a basis for order registration using Print.
- Then you manually register manufacturing orders to cover any shortages that occur for the M-parts, S-parts and F-parts according to the list.
- Then you run the Requirement Calculation once again. These steps should be repeated until the list no longer shows any shortages.
- Finally, you run a requirement calculation for the P-parts.
- Purchase orders are registered for P-part shortages that appear in the list.
