In the Cost number field you can select the cost number for a new cost or modify an existing cost. Cost numbers 1, 2 and 3 are predefined by the system, and are used to charge the cost of reworking or manufacturing for a nonconformity. The costs are loaded from reported operations or entire manufacturing orders. You access these costs using the Load costs button under Adjustment / Manufacturing under the Register Nonconformity tab.
You must first register the costs under the Activity tab in the Register Basic Data procedure. Each cost number can be added and totaled in the Cost of Poor Quality list, so the most frequently used cost types for nonconformities should be entered as individual cost numbers.
