Installation and Updates using a DVD
The first delivery is sent to the customer on a DVD containing the MONITOR software and database. All updates and supplement files can also be delivered on a DVD, via FTP, or via the "MONITOR Update". The configuration and license files are usually delivered either by e-mail or via FTP. The system is installed by using the installation program that accompanies the software delivery. You will also find installation instructions on the DVD that will guide you through the installation process. A complete installation of MONITOR takes up approximately 900 Mb, including one or several empty databases*.
* Databases in the system will grow in size as more data is entered into the database in the form of registrations and transactions. Databases larger than 3 Gb is not uncommon. It all depends on how many entries are made, and how large the different registers are. It is possible for you to maintain the databases by purging logs and moving old transactions to historical registers in order for the databases' space can be reused.

You can order updates via our website, and then download these via an FTP-account. You can also download patches (minor supplementary updates) for MONITOR via FTP.

You can also order updates on our website and then download these via MONITOR Update. MONITOR Update is a downloading service for MONITOR. You can also download patches (minor supplementary updates) for MONITOR via MONITOR Update. Send an e-mail to the Support Center at MONITOR (support@monitor.se) in order to receive your logon information to the MONITOR Update service.
