If you select Current price type you can create a post-calculation for P-parts and S-parts for the order according to the prices that apply at the time of the post-calculation. For example, if you want a post-calculation of an order that was run two years ago, it could be interesting to see what the manufacturing cost would be with the current material prices. If you use the alternative Planned / Reported for the above example, it will calculate what the cost of material was two years ago.
Price Alternatives for P-parts
For P-parts you choose which price alternative you want to set for purchased parts that are included in the post-calculation. The available alternatives are Mean price, Supplier price, Standard price, Future standard price, Average purchase price, Last purchase price and different price lists.
Price Alternatives for S-parts
For S-parts you choose which price alternative you want to set for stocked parts that are included in the post-calculation. The available alternatives are Post-calculated mean price, Standard price, Future standard price and different price lists.
By using the price alternative Post-calculated mean price for the incorporated S-parts you will get a more correct value of the post-calculation then the value you obtain when using Standard price, This is especially useful if a large quantity of S-parts is included in the part for which you have created a post-calculation. The Post-calculated mean price can be selected provided that it has been updated for the S-parts. The price is updated in the Post-Calculation Selection procedure.
