Under Calculations in the Manufacturing module you can create Pre-calculations (preliminary estimates) and Post-calculations (costing or actual job cost). Calculations are important control measures in a system such as MONITOR, particularly for price setting and price follow-ups, so that the right sales price is set for manufactured parts.
Below you will find a brief description of all the procedures that can be found under the Calculations menu in the Manufacturing module of a complete MONITOR system.
This procedure calculates a Pre-calculation for a part. The calculation results can be displayed in detailed or summarized form. You can also create a calculation for one level, or for the entire structure. You can choose among a number of price options. The manufacturing cost can be saved in the part register.
Here you can create Pre-calculations for a selection or range of parts.
This procedure is used to create a Post-calculation for a project, an order or a part number. This is mainly used to follow up on customer orders and previous calculations for a part, as well as to discover and analyze possible differences or variances between the pre-calculations and post-calculations.
Here you can create Post-calculations per work center, per time period, per part number or per order.
