Please note that you can leave the field empty and let the system calculate new finish periods.You can replan existing orders or a specific part in structure orders, either in this procedure or in the Lead Time Chart feature in the Order List - Manufacturing procedure. You can also replan operations in the Order List - Manufacturing procedure. This section describes how the system manages these features during replanning in this procedure. You can use the following alternatives to replan an order:
The passages below describe the system's performance, depending on which of these alternatives you choose to replan.
Quantity
You can only replan the Quantity in this procedure. If you select a new quantity, then the Start field will be greyed out. During registration, a new start period will be calculated and will appear in the Start field once the registration is completed.
Finish Period
You can move the order's finish period either forward or back in time. If you want to replan the entire order in time, you must enter a new period in the Finish field and leave the Start field empty prior to registration ("back planning"). During registration, the system will calculate a new Start period. If you only want to replan the order's finish period, you must enter a new period in the Finish field and register the order with the existing start period. This will allow you to increase or decrease the time between the start period and the finish period.
In the Order List - Manufacturing procedure, you can do this directly in the Lead time chart. Just select the bar that represents the order in question, and right-click to open the Info menu in order to select a date. You can also use your mouse to drag the bar to either "extend" or "compress" it from the right side. Read more in that chapter.

Start Period
You can move the order's start period either forward or backwards in time. If you want to replan the entire order in time, you must enter a new period in the Start field and leave the Finish field empty prior to registration ("ahead planning"). During registration, the system will calculate a new Finish period. You can also move the start period and keep the existing finish period. If you move the start period back, you increase the time between the start period and the finish period. If you move it forward, you decrease (shorten) the time between the start period and the finish period. If you move the start period to a point in time after the finish period, the system will treat the start period as if the field were empty, in other words, the system will treat the replanning as if it were a new registration. If you set the start period before today's date, the field will be highlighted with red font.

Individual Parts in a Structure Order
You can replan an underlying part in a structure order.
If you want to replan an individual part, deselect the M box to activate the part number field. After that, you can select an individual part and replan it according to the above criteria. If you do not want to replan underlying parts for that part, you should uncheck the Replan underlying box prior to registration.
If you replan a part's start or finish period to a period that is outside the limit for the order's start or finish period, then the order's period limits will be changed to the part's start or finish period. If a part's start period - which has determined the order's start period - is moved within the limit of the order's start period, then the order's start period will not be moved along with the part's start period.
If an incorporated structure is deleted, the remaining material row is managed as an S-part.
Please Note! Replanning individual parts will disable the order correlation! If you replan the entire order at a separate stage, after having replanned an individual part in the order, the replanning of the entire order may be disabled due to the fact that one of its parts has already been separately replanned. If this should happen, you can always recreate the original order correlation by leaving the Start field empty and re-registering the order.
