Timing Code
This only applies if you are using the Workshop Info module. Here you can choose another timing code for work recording than the one entered by default for that work center. The timing code indicates how time should be reported for operations in that work center. There are three alternatives:
- Recorded time - Use this to set the time that the operators report in the Recording Terminal procedure.
- Pre-calculated time - Use this to set the time that was calculated in the pre-calculation.
- Distribute as per pre-calculation - This is required if you want to use batch recording in the Recording Terminal procedure. Batch recording means that several different operations can be started and finished at the same time, and that the reported time will be distributed evenly among them. The time calculation will distribute the time according to the planned time and quantity taken from the pre-calculation, as well as the reported quantity. Batch recording can be used for cutting operations, for example, where several operations use the same raw material and also have short lead times. This will avoid wasting time on unnecessary reporting.
These alternatives can also be changed individually for each operation, using the Priority Planning procedure.
