Groups are used to classify codes for indirect work and not order bound work. Codes for indirect work are for example used in the supplement called Machine Integration. The indirect work is then recorded by the operator who first selects a group and then a code from that group. This makes it easier for the operator to select the correct code in cases when many codes for indirect work have been registered. The groups are also used during Group recording of indirect work.
Under the Indirect work tab you can select a group affiliation for each code in the field called Included in group.
In the Code field you enter a numerical code (a maximum of 10 characters) for the group.
In the Name field you enter the name of the group.
In the Type field you either select Indirect work or Not order bound direct work.
