Outline

Under Recording Procedures in the Workshop Info module, you will find procedures used to manage all the different recording alternatives. This mainly consists of attendance/absence recording and work recording performed by the employees, but also other procedures with different purposes, such as recording for another employee on sick leave. There are also procedures used to manage internal text messages.

Below you will find a brief description of all the procedures that can be found under the Recording Procedures menu in the Workshop Info module of a complete MONITOR system.

Recording Terminal

This is the operator's interface to the system. That is also why the layout has been designed to be used with tools such as a Touch screen. The Recording Terminal manages all the attendance and work recording. It also contains information related to recording, such as schedules and schedule calendars, historical information about previous recording, messages etc.

Absence Reporting

Here you can record an employee's absence, for example if they are sick. This procedure is used when the recording can not be performed by the employee. A user that is authorized to access this procedure can then report the start of the absence, which will end the next time that the employee clocks-in.

Switch Absence Code / Period

This procedure can be used in two principal ways regarding absence reporting. On one hand, to switch the reason for the absence of an employee in an active absence record. For example, if the employee started the absence as due to sickness, but later called from home to change it to vacation.

The other purpose of the procedure is to allow the user to create an interruption and a re-starting of all the active absence records when printing out a salary basis. This will allow all the absence hours up to the end of the salary period to be included in the basis.

Report Work

Here you can finish work for employees that can not do so themselves in the recording terminal. This may be useful if you need to make operations available to other workers.

Group Recording

This procedure is used to allow a group of employees to interrupt (stop) their direct work in order to participate in indirect work, such as a course or a meeting. One person is the "group recorder" and records all the other employees who are participating in this group work in one single recording.

Attendance List

Here you will find a general overview of all the employees and their attendance status, as well as information about started work. You can send internal messages to individual employees as well.

Absence List

The Absence List is used to register planned absence for example vacation, official business, working days between holidays, etc. When the planned absence has been registered, the procedure can be used as support for the staffing schedule for different departments.

Update Messages

This is where MONITOR users can send internal messages to other users or employees in MONITOR.

Incoming Messages

MONITOR users can receive internal messages here.
