During alternate preparation you can configure different terms for each operation or material row, such as having the row apply only for a certain period or customer.
The terms you configure will then be applied when you enter orders in the Register Manufacturing Order procedure, during loading simulations isn this procedure, when you make calculations in the Pre-Calculation procedure, when you load a structure list in the Consists of (Structure List) and they will also be displayed in the BOM /Operation List.
Preparations permit different kinds of functions for terms. Terms on operation and material rows can be used as additional rows, replacement rows or to delete rows based on a basic preparation. The different terms that you can enter for operation and material rows in the preparation are:
