This column appears if the setting Use capacity factor exceptions on operations? has been configured under the heading Preparations that you will find under the Manufacturing tab in the Settings procedure. If so, you can enter a capacity factor for the operation row here.
The purpose of this capacity factor is to give an individual lead time for the operation instead of the one that is generally applied according to the work center. The capacity factor entered on the operation row will then be multiplied by the number of shifts x basic time registered for the selected work center. Capacity factors can be used, for example, to enter the number of assemblers for operations that require a lot of time for assembly and that are given variable lead times depending on the number of assemblers.
