In this field you can link a configuration group to a part with a basic preparation. If you use the PopUp feature or the F4 key, you can search for configuration groups. Configuration groups must be created in the Update Configuration Group procedure.
A configurable part should have Traceability set in order for the requirements planning and inventory valuation to work. When a part is linked to a configuration group, a recommendation appears saying that traceability should be set for the part.
