In the Part number field in the Search Form you enter the part you want to replace. In the New part number field you enter the new part number that you want to replace the old part with. If you leave the New part number field empty, you can only make changes in the "For operation" and "Quantity" fields of the rows in the BOM lists in which the selected part is used.
Under the part number field you can see the name of the part once it has been loaded from the part register.
If you select Display List from the window functions, all BOM lists in which the part is used will be displayed in the window. If you have entered a new part number in the "New part number" field, the window displays the old part number that will be replaced and the new part number that will replace it. Then you will also find a checkbox, at the very left of the list under the heading Replace, where you can uncheck the rows for which you do not want to replace the part.
You can sort the list by double-clicking on the headings Part number and Name. You can filter the list by using the Window functions.
