Part Code

Part codes are used to classify parts.

You should create the logic for classification using part codes and part categories. Part codes are included in most standard lists in the system, both as a classification and selection alternative.

The part code table with codes and names is updated in Part Codes in the Global Settings module. If you enter a part code that is not included in this table, the system will display a control question asking whether you want to create a new part code.
