General Information about Package Management
Why Use This Procedure?
The Package Management procedure is used to manage packaging and packaging structures created in the Pick List EDI procedure. This makes it possible to manage mixed pallet with an assortment of inner packaging.
Conditions for Package Management
One of these two conditions must be fulfilled in order to use the package management:
- The setting Inner packaging, under the Sales tab - Shipping info in the Update Part - Sales procedure must be set to Yes or Yes, KLT Package (Small Load Carrier) for affected packaging parts (Type Packaging). In this case, the Pick list EDI will generate the inner packaging automatically.
- Structures of packaging parts must be created in the Preparation procedure. In this case the structure is loaded from the preparation.
If one of these conditions is fulfilled, the Pick list EDI will generate one inner packaging (without load carrier packaging) per order row. After this, consolidated packing takes place in the Package Management.

What Update Options Exist for this Procedure?
Here you can update/edit packages. You can insert empty inner packaging or move an inner packaging from one pallet to another. You can also insert cover packaging. You can insert load carrier packaging, insert in a new load carrier packaging or insert all inner packaging in a new load carrier packaging. You can also delete packages. This is all made in the Info menu, when right-clicking, in the structure map in left portion of the window.
Some information for the selected package can also be entered or edited in the top right corner of the window.
