WIP Value of Material
Here you choose how to calculate the WIP value of material. The available types are:
- Planned/Reported – this alternative calculates the WIP value of material using the price alternative that was applied when the order was placed. If you use this alternative, you should also select the same alternative for the WIP value of work.
- Current – this default alternative calculates the WIP value of material using the current prices for incorporated parts. When you use this alternative, you can select price alternatives for the different part types (see below).
- Historical - this alternative loads the price for the incorporated parts and transfers to stock from the price change log. When selecting the Historical alternative, the material valuation will be carried out according to the standard price that applied at the entered historical date. You cannot select a price alternative when using this alternative.
SO Mark-up Purchased Parts
This alternative allows you to select whether or not to include the SO (Storage Overhead) mark-up in the material cost for purchased parts. This mark-up is included in the material cost by default.
Price Alternatives
Here you select a price alternative for P-parts, S-parts, M-parts, and Transfer to stock. The default option is Standard price, which is also recommended as the current price alternative. By checking the check box you select to Distribute processing/subcontracting/material.
If you have selected the price alternative FIFO and the price shall be distributed for the incorporated parts, then the FIFO price should be distributed according to the calculation made in the Price Calculation - Inventory Movements procedure which is saved in the calculation register.
Historical Date
Here you enter a date for which you want to see the FIFO value. Please note that the Historical date only works for manufacturing orders created as of version 9.0.
