Service
In this section, you will find settings that apply to service management. Please note that the Service Management is a supplement to MONITOR.
Use category management for service category
If you check this setting you can display category explanation windows with multiple selection options in the Service category field in the Register Customer Order procedure. You create selection terms in the Category Management procedure in the Global Settings module. The service category setting also determines the amount of help that will be available in the Search Forms/Create tabs for the lists where you can select by service category.
If this setting is not activated you can enter service categories as additional text. You can then enter a maximum of 15 characters. By using the button next to the category field, you will find instructions of how to enter categories. These instructions are entered in the Categories procedure in the Global Settings module.
Use category management for service technician category?
If you check this setting you can display category explanation windows with multiple selection options in the Service technician category field in the Update Service Technician procedure. You create selection terms in the Category Management procedure in the Global Settings module. The service technician category setting also determines the amount of help that will be available in the Search Forms/Create tabs for the lists where you can select by service technician category.
If this setting is not activated you can enter service technician categories as additional text. You can then enter a maximum of 15 characters. By using the button next to the category field, you will find instructions of how to enter categories. These instructions are entered in the Categories procedure in the Global Settings module.
Print transport label after arrival reporting
Here you can select whether or not to make a printout of the transport label after you have saved the arrival reporting. You can choose if it should be a direct printout, a printout via the print tab or no printout at all.
- If you have selected No, no transport label will be printed.
- If the setting has been configured to Directly a question will appear during arrival reporting where you can select if the transport label should be printed directly when you save the reporting.
- If you have configured this setting to Via print tab, you execute the printout of transport label manually under the Transport label tab in the Report Arrival - Service procedure. You then have the opportunity to preview the printout.
General schedule start for service technicians
As long as the service has not been delegated to a service technician, the finish date calculation is based on this general schedule. Please note that this general schedule start always applies to systems without the Workshop Info module. Here you can enter a general schedule start time for service technicians. This time is used when planning resources for service technicians.
A general schedule start should also be entered in systems that use the Workshop Info module.
General schedule end for service technicians
As long as the service has not been delegated to a service technician, the finish date calculation is based on this general schedule. Please note that this general schedule end always applies to systems without the Workshop Info module. Here you can enter a general schedule end time for service technicians. This time is used when planning resources for service technicians.
A general schedule end should also be entered in systems that use the Workshop Info module.
General break start for service technicians
As long as the service has not been delegated to a service technician, the finish date calculation is based on this general schedule. Please note that this general break start always applies to systems without the Workshop Info module. Here you can enter a general break start time for service technicians. This time is considered when planning resources for service technicians. If the default schedule should not include breaks, you do not enter anything in the two settings regarding break. However, if you want to use breaks you must configure both settings.
General break end for service technicians
As long as the service has not been delegated to a service technician, the finish date calculation is based on this general schedule. Please note that this general break end always applies to systems without the Workshop Info module. This time is considered when planning resources for service technicians. If the default schedule should not include breaks, you do not enter anything in the two settings regarding break. However, if you want to use breaks you must configure both settings.
