Update Part
In the Update Part procedure you will also find part settings that must be configured. Parts that will be managed via EDI have certain requirements:
- Customer Links must be registered on parts that are sold via EDI. The customer's part number must be registered for that customer on the link.
- Supplier Links must be registered on parts that are purchased via EDI. You must select the link to be included in Print EDI Delivery Schedules.
- Revision should be registered for parts, if it is received or should be sent with the delivery schedule or order.
- Packaging must be registered for parts, if you want to include packaging in your EDI messages. In this case, packaging parts with structures must first have been configured.
If you have a large part register, the abovementioned measures may be the most extensive basic settings and registration that you have to carry out before you can start using EDI in MONITOR.
