Settings for FIFO

When inventory transactions that increase the balance cannot obtain a final price or FIFO price in the usual way, you can use two settings. These settings determine which price will be used as basis for FIFO price.

Price Alternative for FIFO at Inventory

During physical inventory which will increase the stock balance, the quantity exceeding the previous balance will be returned to stock and an inventory log record will be created. Which price will be used as basis for the FIFO price calculation is determined here. The setting is by default set to Standard price.

Price Alternative for FIFO during Unplanned Stock Movements

An unplanned arrival increases the stock balance and creates an inventory log record. The quantity of the increase needs a price which will then be used for calculation of FIFO price. Which price will be used during unplanned arrival is determined here. The setting is by default set to Standard price.

During physical inventory and unplanned arrival, the final price can be NULL, but only if balance is missing and if the option FIFO price has been selected for the settings above. However, the final price can be adjusted in the Price Adjustment - FIFO procedure.

Price alternative for FIFO during negative balance

If you perform a negative reporting, this setting determines which price that should be entered as the final price. If you select No price, then you have to adjust the final price manually in the Price Adjustment - FIFO procedure.

Other Settings that Affect FIFO

If you want to perform price calculation of structure orders you activate the setting Use balances for incorporated M-parts in structure orders? under Orders in the Manufacturing tab in the Settings procedure.
