Drag and Drop XML File for Registration
In an e-mail message containing a purchase order that you receive from the customer, the order is also attached as an XML file. The supplier can then drag the XML file from the e-mail message and drop it in the procedure window Register Customer Order or in the Procedure menu in MONITOR.
The drag and drop feature can be used both from regular e-mail programs like Outlook, Lotus Notes and Thunderbird, but also from the file system via Windows Explorer.
If the MONITOR program window is minimized or hidden it can be activated by dragging the file from the e-mail message and holding it over the MONITOR button in the Windows Taskbar.
Drag the XML file and hold it over the MONITOR button.
After that, you drag the XML file to the Procedure menu in MONITOR. The cursor will then show a plus sign which means that you can drop the file.
Drag and drop the XML file to the Procedure menu.
The file will then be identified and the correct window will open for the registration.
The correct window will open when the file is identified.
You can also drop an XML file in the correct registration window if the window in question is already open. The following applies:
- The supplier can drop a purchase order in the Register Customer Order procedure.
- The customer can drop an order confirmation of purchase order in the Register Purchase Order procedure.
- The customer can drop a dispatch advice in the Register Purchase Order procedure. In the Arrival Reporting procedure you can then arrival report the advised quantity.
- The customer can drop a supplier invoice in the Register Supplier Invoice procedure.
- The supplier can drop a claim report, if any, in the Register Nonconformity procedure (customer nonconformity).
- The supplier can drop a delivery schedule in the Register Sales Forecast procedure.
You drop the XML file somewhere in the current window.
