Create stock count list

In this procedure you can create stock count lists with parts which can then be stock counted in the Stock count in list procedure.

You select a Time to due date for the stock count. This period could be 1, 2, or 3 weeks, or 1, 2, 3, or 4 months. The default option is one week.

The Check for due dates earlier than today setting is used by the program to look back in time as far as possible from the present day and include parts on the list whose stock count date has passed; and parts from the present day up to the due date. If the setting is deactivated, the program will only include parts from the present day up to the time of the due date.

With the ABC setting you can choose to only show parts with certain ABC codes, or show parts that are not volume value classed, or parts with no ABC code. No alternatives are selected by default.

With the Number of hits setting, you can limit the number of parts that will be included in the list. This could be 10, 20, 50, 100, 250, or 500 parts.

The Generate list button at the bottom of the page is used to create the stock count list, which is then opened automatically for reporting in the Stock count in list procedure. The stock count list includes a consecutive number, today's date, and the name of the user who created the list.

If stock count lists have already been created, under the Show stock count lists link on the page you can check if a stock count is in progress in the Stock count in list procedure.
