Direct arrival
In this procedure you can report direct arrival of parts from a location.
The procedure works as a guide, where you can report arrival of the quantity of a part in two steps, as shown below. You can tap Clear at any time in order to clear the screen and reset the procedure.
If the Warehouse option is installed in the system, start by making sure you are working in the right warehouse in order to record direct arrival of parts. The warehouse is selected in the mobile client menu. The locations in which you then choose to report arrival are always those you are working in.
In step one, enter the part in the Part to report arrival for field. You can enter either a part number or part name to generate a result.
Tap the part in the field in order to load it.
Settings can be found under the menu button
in the upper right. You can choose whether projects should be displayed or not. Displaying projects makes it so that you can enter which project the arrival should be linked to.
If you are running the app on a smartphone or tablet, use the button beside the field to load the part by scanning the bar code on the device’s camera.
In step two, enter the quantity for which to report arrival to the location. This is entered in the Quantity field. If the part has multiple locations, you can enter a quantity at more than one of these locations (if you need to report arrival to multiple locations).
If the part has more than one Unit, you can select the unit in which to report arrival. The part's default unit (standard unit) is suggested.
You can also add a new location by tapping Add location, and entering the name of the new location and the quantity for which to report arrival.
By clicking the
button you can display all the locations for the part and choose which of these the arrival should be made. There you can see the location name, the location’s balance and the latest arrival date.
If the system settings require a cause to be entered when direct stock reporting, select a cause code in the Cause field.
If you notice that a stock balance for a part is not correct, you can highlight this by activating Stock count request. You can then enter a comment with the reason for this request. The parts for which a stock count has been requested can be generated in the Create stock count basis list in the Stock count in list procedure of the Windows client, by selecting Stock count request date. The comment is also shown in the list. When the stock count is completed and saved for the part, the request is removed.
Tap Save, at the bottom of the page, to execute an arrival and request a stock count, if required.
When the arrival is reported, the procedure is reset.
