Freight manager

Here you can configure different freight costs by creating different freight groups. A freight group is based on a selection made under Type and Country/Area. Here you will find several countries as well as EU and Other, in combination with a user group or the All group. The available user groups are listed under User group, where there is also a group called All. If you select All, the freight is applied to the selected country/area as well as all existing user groups. General freight intervals that are not linked to a country, or EU, are created under the freight type Other. A user group can be linked to multiple freight groups, for example, Corporation can be linked to both Other and Sweden. If you create a freight group based on Other and All, as well as a group based on Other and Corporation, the freight for corporate customers is primarily determined by the freight group based on Other and Corporation. If there is no freight interval matching the freight group, a match is performed according to the Fallbacks function, below. Please note that a User group must be created before you can start creating freight groups.

To create freight groups:

  1. Click Add .
  2. Under Type, select Country, EU or Other.
  3. Under Country/Area, select a country (if you have chosen Country, above). Under New customers | Countries you can enter the countries that belong to the EU.
  4. Under User group, select the user group required.
  5. Save.

To link freight properties to freight groups:

  1. Click Link freight property for the freight group to which you want to link freight properties.
  2. Select the freight property/properties you want the freight group to have access to.
  3. Save.

See Freight properties for more information.

To define freight costs:

You can choose to define intervals for freight costs based on weight, volume, or order value.

Please note that it is possible to define overlapping intervals. When the freight cost of an order is calculated, a number of defined freight costs can match. The webshop will automatically apply the most expensive freight option, based on the freight intervals defined for the freight group.

  1. Select Type. Choose between: Weight, Order value, and Volume.
  2. In the Price field, enter a price.
  3. Enter a Start value and End value for the interval.
  4. Under Currency, select your currency.
  5. Select Service in Monitor G5. The available services must be registered in the Part register procedure in Monitor ERP.
  6. Enter a Freight description. Remember to translate the freight descriptions into all languages.
  7. Save.

Fallbacks

In this case, information is retrieved from more general groups. If there is no freight group or freight interval within the freight group that matches the current order, the Fallbacks function is used instead. The freight is then applied as shown below, where the user group is Private customer and the country of delivery is Sweden:

  1. Freight group Sweden – Private customer
  2. Freight group EU – Private customer
  3. Freight group Other – Private customer
  4. Freight group Sweden – All
  5. Freight group EU – All
  6. Freight group Other – All
  7. If there is no matching freight interval in any of the freight groups, the rate will be set to zero.

If you have own defined user groups, these groups will always get the highest prioritization.
