Outline

Under Service Management in the Sales module you will find procedures related to service management, all the way from booking of services to planning of resources and service order management. Service Management is a supplement to MONITOR.

Below you will find a brief description of all the procedures that can be found under the Service Management in the Sales module.

Register Service Order

A service order is a unique order type similar to a customer order. You register a service order before the service is performed and it is always linked to a particular customer. Normally, a service order is also linked to a specific serial number of a product delivered on an earlier occasion.

Print Service Order

Here you can print or e-mail service quotes and service orders created in the Register Service Order procedure.

Order List - Service

In this procedure you can load lists from the service order register.

Order Inflow - Service

In this procedure you can create a list of all the registered service orders, both delivered and not delivered, in order to analyze the order inflow for a particular period, customer or seller.

Resource Planning

In this procedure you can plan the resources needed to perform the service.

Report Arrival - Service Order

This procedure is used to report arrival on service orders. The procedure is only used when the service location is 'In-factory'.

Print Pick List - Service Order

Here you can print a pick list for material that is included in the service order.

Report Service Order

This procedure is used to report service orders as finished. This procedure is used if you do not perform the reporting in the mobile application.

Print Service Report

In this procedure you can print a service report when the service order has been reported as finished.

Service Order Activity List

In this procedure you can print all planned service order activities, as well as view statistics over finished activities.

Authorize / Release Invoice Basis

Here you must authorize the invoice basis before the invoice can be printed in the Print Invoices procedure.

Register Service Plan

In this procedure you can enter future planned service tasks which are not classified as errors/defects. For example annual service. These are not actual service orders. They are more like forecasts, but unlike forecasts they are planned and agreed together with the customer.

Service Plan List

In this procedure you can see registered service plans and you can also release service plans to actual orders.

Register Basic Data - Service

Here you register basic data such as Activities, Service technicians, Costs, Service types and Default values for the service management.
