By default, all parts are "stock updated", meaning that the system will update their stock balance. However, certain parts such as consumables that have been entered in the system, can be configured so that no stock updates are performed during reporting. You can perform physical inventories for such parts, though, and the relevant statistics are updated as usual during reporting.
