Explanation of the Columns in the List
Below you will find an explanation of the different columns in the list.
- Part number - the part number registered for the part.
- Name - the part name registered for the part.
- EOQ - the economic order quantity registered for the part.
- #Sug - each order suggestion that is generated is given a suggestion number, for example #57.
- Info - shows from where the suggestion is loaded (NET = Run Netting, REQ = Requirement calculation).
- Quantity - the ordered quantity that the suggestion has calculated. You can modify the quantity in the list, if needed.
- Start - the start period that is suggested for orders that are registered based on this suggestion.
Please note that the start period here is preliminary, it is based on the throughput time that is saved on the part from the last pre-calculated quantity. The actual start period, that is based on the quantity in the suggestion, will be calculated when the order is generated. The throughput time will then be re-calculated based on the quantity in the suggestion!
- Finish - the finish period that will be registered on orders generated from this suggestion. You can modify the finish period in the list, if needed.
- Order number - shows either the customer order number or manufacturing order number that the suggestion was created from in either Requirement Calculation or Run Netting. An exclamation mark (!) before the order number in red font means that the suggestion has been moved ahead from past time. This can be done from Requirement Calculation or Run Netting.
- Available balance - shows the part's available balance prior to the manufacturing order suggestion. If the balance > 0, the suggestion was created against the safety stock, otherwise against a definite shortage.
- User - which user created the suggestion in the procedure under Info in the list.
- Gen. (Generate) - must be checked if the suggestion should generate an order. If the parameter Suggest all was checked under the Create tab, this column will be checked by default for all the suggestions in the list.
- ! - a black exclamation mark means that there is a manufacturing order that will be finished before the suggestion. The order status must also be less than 6 and the order shall have a rest quantity.
-
- the speech bubble indicates that there is a message for the part. Click on the speech bubble in order to read the message.
-
- the padlock indicates that the part is blocked. Click on the padlock for further information.
- Enough material for… - (only shown when selecting the option Extended) here you can see the quantity that there is enough material in the physical stock balance to cover. Below this value, you will see the Available stock balance after deducting the quantity to be manufactured in the order suggestion, if the order suggestion has been selected to be released. Otherwise the available balance wills how the same number as the quantity that there is enough material for, and then this number will also be greyed out. The calculation of "Enough material for..." has a few limitations that might be good to know about. The calculation does not consider overflow on operation when calculating how many units that can be manufactured. The calculation also does not consider setup quantity on material rows or alternate preparation.
- Cons. 3 mo. - shows the total consumption of the part over the last 3 months.
- Cons. 12 mo. - shows the total consumption of the part over the last 12 months.
