Outline

The Inventory module in MONITOR contains procedures for all inventory management. For example Update Part - Inventory, Price Adjustment, Requirement Calculation, Requirement Simulation, Physical Inventory and Product Register, to name a few procedures. The Inventory module consists of 5 sub-modules and 2 extra modules that are supplements. The sub-modules are:

Parts

Here you find procedures that regard registration and updating of part information. Here you can see a part list and historical inventory movements, as well as print labels. It is possible to calculate annual volume, annual budget, EOQ and stock levels. And here you can also make stock and volume value analyses of the parts in the stock.

Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

Here there are procedures that cover all materials control. You can perform requirements planning, from an individual part to an automated netting run including the explosion of entire structures. You can make further requirement analyses using the Check Delivery Times procedure. You will also find procedures for stock refill based on annual volume/annual pace. This is also where you manage manufacturing and sales forecasts, releasing orders from suggestions and managing rescheduling suggestions for orders.

Orders

This sub-module is only available if you have installed the supplement Warehouse Management. Here you find procedures for management of stock orders as well as deliveries and arrivals between warehouses.

Physical Inventory

This sub-module contains procedures that manage all types of physical inventory of parts. There are also procedures that are used to calculate the inventory value and the value of parts currently being in production (WIP = Work in Progress), how to change a part's stock location, and how to make unplanned stock movements, and also generate location names. It is possible to move stock balances and refill pick locations.

Product Register

Here you find procedures for registering, updating and printing product registers. Here you can load lists with batch number and for traceability.

Quality

Here you find the procedures for nonconformity management. For example, reporting different nonconformities, printing a variety of documents, reporting nonconformity activities, controlling the cost of poor quality, controlling the delivery reliability or delivery performance to customers and suppliers, rating suppliers, etc.

These procedures are also used to maintain high quality levels by means of preventive actions to decrease nonconformities according to ISO-9000, as well as environmental factors according to ISO-14000.

Stock Location System

This sub-module is only available if you have installed the supplement called Stock Location System. Here there are procedures where you register basic data, generate locations, create storage rules, etc. Here you can also update the parts with location data.
