Base Value on Price
Under Base value on price you will find different price settings that affect the inventory value. The available alternatives are:
- P-parts - here you select the price alternative for purchase parts that should be the basis for the inventory value.
- SO mark-up - check this box if you want to include the SO mark-up for purchase parts.
- M/S-parts - here you select the price alternative for manufactured/stocked parts that should be the basis for the inventory value.
- Cost factor alternative - here you select the cost factor alternative, consisting of seven combinations of three different cost factors, that should be the basis for the inventory value of manufactured/stocked parts. The cost factors are updated in the Update Work Center procedure.
- Minimum value - here you can enter an amount for the minimum inventory value for parts. This value determines which parts that should be shown only as a total under the heading "Small Items" in the list. Please note that you enter an absolute amount here. If the absolute amount of the parts is equal to or lower to this one, they will be shown as a total under "Small items"; and if it is higher, the parts will be shown individually in the list.
- Historical price - here you can value the stock to a historic price in the in case the inventory value is based on a historic balance alternative. This only applies to the price alternative standard price.
Read more about the different price alternatives in the sections Updatable Price Alternatives and Different Statistical Price Alternatives in the Managing Prices in the System chapter in the MONITOR Basics.
Please note how the historical inventory value is affected by the SO selection. The SO can change over time meaning that an inventory value based on a historical price including SO must not have to coincide with the value (including SO) created initially. Inventory values where SO is not included are comparable.
