Printout Samples

Below you will see printout samples along with explanations regarding how to use the manufacturing order documents in the system. The layout for the different manufacturing order documents is the same. What differs between the documents is the information displayed in the header/footer, operation portion and BOM list.

ClosedTravelers

A "Traveler" or Manufacturing Order usually signifies the document that under operation shows "All operations" and under the Material portion shows "All materials". The travelers "travel" or accompany the goods between the different machines in the workshop and the stock, during the manufacturing process.

ClosedWork card

A Work card is usually the name used for the kind of document that under operation shows "Current operation including next operation" and under the Materials portion shows "For current operation". Usually one work card is printed per operation, governed by the choices made in the Operation portion. If the selected alternative is to show current operation including next operation, the following also applies:

The current operation has a frame around it. If it shows incorporated material for the current operation, a BOM list containing info about the incorporated parts will be displayed as well.

Work cards are often used as a report slip and are either kept by the operators, or passed on to form the basis for operation and material reports.

Please note! If you are using the Workshop Info module, you will generally not need to use work cards. If you are using workshop terminals, you can provide the workshop operators with similar work instructions as well as the basis the required reports.
