The Global Settings module in MONITOR contains procedures that are not used in your daily work. For example, this is where you configure different settings, create basic tables, use procedures that purge the variable registers and statistics, setup your printers and register users and user rights. The procedures used in every day work are located in the other modules. Global Settings consists of 7 basic sub-modules. These are:
This sub-module contains settings and parameters for the entire system. For example, you will here find windows for updating your company information, manage different number series, create chart of accounts and describe order documents etc.
This is where you create simple and general tables that are used by the system. For example, different terms of payment, part codes, currencies etc.
This is where you will find the purging procedures that are used to reset and maintain your variable and statistic registers. Variable registers refer to order and ledger (such as accounts payable and receivable) registers. The statistic registers are those registers that are added to and updated when using different reporting procedures. Here you can also delete existing lock-ups for different records that may have been created if they were not closed in a proper way.
Here are all the procedures that concern registering printers, groups and user rights.
In this sub-module you will find a procedure where you can create different company adapted instructions for all procedures. If you have installed the supplement Document Viewing you will find three additional procedures:
This sub-module is only available if you have installed the supplement MONITOR Agent. Here you can find procedures to create AutoRuns, Agent Results and to create monitoring tasks.
Here you will find all procedures that relate to EDI settings and EDI import files. Here you also find procedures for external categories and users that are used for the e-commerce solutions linked to MONITOR.
