The Operation Section

This is where you configure the settings that determine if and how the operation information should be displayed in an operation list, in the Operation portion of the manufacturing order document. Each operation can contain up to three rows of information.

Format

This is where you choose how you want the operations to be shown on the manufacturing order document:

Print Instruction

Here you choose how you want the instructions to be shown on the manufacturing order document:

Print Times

If you configure this alternative, the Setup time, Unit time and Total time will be printed on the 1st row for the operation. The unit used for the different times is configured using the Unit setting. The unit you select will determine the values for the times using a conversion factor for the work center.

Print Report Number

If you configure this alternative, the report number will be printed on the 1st row after the Total time column.

If you configure this alternative, there will only be two columns available for Extra Headings on the documents. The Report Number heading will be placed on the first row for Extra headings, and will be greyed out.

Print Tool

If you check this box you will see the tools that are linked to the operation row in the preparation under the button T.

Print Quantity

If you check this box you will see the operation's rest quantity in cases where this rest differs from the rest quantity for the part.

Show Bar Code

This will print the bar code on the third operation row. The bar code font type that is used for manufacturing order documents is BarCode 39.

In order to use other bar code font types than BarCode 39 you need customized forms for the manufacturing order documents. Please contact the Adaptation department at Monitor ERP System AB for more information and prices.

This setting, or any of the start / finish period settings, also determine whether the operation quantity and an asterisk (*) for already reported items can be printed on the 3rd row or not.

Print Start Period and/or Finish Period

If you configure these alternatives, the Start Period and Finish Period will be printed on the 3rd row for the operation.

Any of these settings, or the setting for printing the bar code, also determine whether the operation quantity and an asterisk (*) for already reported items can be printed on the 3rd row or not.

Show Measuring Points

Here you can select to show a section with measuring points on the traveler. This is possible if the setting called Use measuring points in preparation and order has been activated, under Preparation under the Manufacturing tab in the Settings procedure.

Show Measuring Instruction

This setting will be available when the "Show measuring points" box has been checked. If you activate this setting, measuring instructions will be printed on the manufacturing order documents.

Unit Setup Time - Unit Time - Total Time

These alternatives allow you to choose which time unit should be used for printing the Setup time, Unit time and Total time on the 1st row. The selected time unit is printed in the column heading. The unit is linked to the conversion factor for order documents for that work center. The times displayed here have been converted using this conversion factor. The SEK unit is the cost per hour in Swedish kronor for the Work center. If you select the SEK unit, the cost per unit in Swedish kronor (SEK) will be displayed for the setup and unit time. For Unit time, you can also choose to use the units quantity/hour, quantity/minute and quantity/c minute. For Total time, the total cost for the operation is shown for that quantity of the part included in the order.

Extra Heading

Here you can enter up to three extra headings. The extra headings are printed in the heading row in three separate columns, in the far right of the 1st operation row. This is an example of what the extra headings could represent, when an operator must sign the document after the operation has been completed: Finished quantity, Rejected quantity and Signature. If you enter text in these fields, the operation row will contain a dash or line for that column on the document. You can use the line to write the text directly on the document.

If you configure Print report number, there will only be two columns available for Extra headings on the documents. The first row for Extra headings, will then be reserved for the Report number and is therefore greyed out.
