The supplement EIM uses so-called floating licenses. This means that it is possible to register an unlimited amount of users, but that only X users can use the function at the same time. When purchasing this supplement you select to have 3, 5, 10, 15 or more simultaneous users available.
One license is then for example used when one user is scanning, registering, authorizing or reviewing invoices on screen. When the user closes the procedure, the used license is "released" and can be used by another user.
If you receive the following message, it most likely is caused by the fact that the maximum of allowed users are already logged-on.
Warning that there is already the maximum number of users in MONITOR EIM.
You then have to wait a while and then try again.
However, it is possible that the counter that keeps track of the number of logged-on users is incorrect. This can e.g. occur if the computer crashed or if it shut down due to a power failure. You then have to synchronize the logged in users by performing the following action:
Synchronize Logged-on Users
Open the Logged-on Users procedure in the Global Settings | Printers / Users. In this procedure you can see which users that are currently connected to the MONITOR-database and the EIM-database. At the bottom to the right there is a button where you can Synchronize the number of logged-on users. This is necessary if the number of users in the list does not match the number of users listed as Logged-on users in the image below. Max quantity shows you how many users that are allowed to be logged-on at the same time.
