Type
Here you will see the tool type to which the tool belongs. The type is also inherited from the tool group. The different tool types predefined in the system are:
- Special tool
- casting molds, punching (stamping) tools, etc.
- Measuring tool
- micrometers, slide gauges, etc.
- Machine tool
- milling apparatus, drills etc.
- Hand tool
- hammers, hand drills etc.
- Consumables
- weld pins, turning lathes etc.
- Assembled tool
- tool sets that consist of tools that have been physically combined or assembled together. Assembled tools have their own stock location.
- Fictitious tool
- tool sets that consist of tools stored in separate stock locations and that are not configured as physically assembled (compare with fictitious parts used in the system).
