General Information about MONITOR-to-MONITOR
MONITOR-to-MONITOR is a feature used to facilitate the communication between companies using MONITOR. When you for example send/receive an order or an order confirmation via e-mail in MONITOR, an XML file is attached that the receiver can use to perform the registration in his/her MONITOR system. You drag the file from the e-mail message and drop it in MONITOR. |

Further, there are functions to maintain the basic data by sending and receiving part info, prices, lead times, annual volumes and suppliers' part numbers via e-mail. The difference is that a TXT file is attached to be used as help during import.
Other Conditions when Using MONITOR-to-MONITOR:
- The e-mail communication between the sender and the recipient must be functioning.
- E-mail attachments in XML, PDF and TXT file formats should not be blocked by the sender's or recipient's anti-virus/anti-spam software or firewall.
- An e-mail program that supports MAPI must be installed on the same computer that is running MONITOR (applies to both sender and recipient).
- If MONITOR is run via thin clients, the e-mail program and MONITOR must be run in the same remote control session, that is from the same remote desktop.
