In this section, you enter the number of the on account payment/credit invoice from which the set-off should be made.
The on account or credit invoice acts as a "payment" for the debit invoice or invoices that the set-off is made to. You also enter the amount of the set-off, as well as the date. You may print set-offs using the Print Incoming Payment Ledger / Accounting Orders procedure, entering the payment method as SOF.
On Account/Credit Invoice
This field is shown for the set-off type On account / Credit invoice. Here you enter the customer invoice number that the set-off is being made from. You can only enter on account or credit invoices with a rest amount. Use the PopUp feature or F4 to search the invoice register.
Invoice Number
This field is shown for the set-off type Set-off against supplier invoice. Here you enter the customer invoice number that the set-off is being made from. You can only enter invoices that have a rest amount. Use the PopUp feature or F4 to search the invoice register.
Customer Code
Here you will see the customer code for the current on account or credit invoice.
Customer Name
Here you will see the customer name for the current on account or credit invoice.
Rest Amount
Here you will see the rest amount that remains and which can be set-off from the current invoice. The rest amount is reduced by the set-off amount during set-off. If the invoice is in a foreign currency, you will also see the rest amount converted into the company currency according to the invoice's initial exchange rate (the rate that applied when the invoice was created).
Initial Rate
This field shows the exchange rate that applied when the invoice was created in the system. Any exchange rate difference is based on the difference between this initial rate and the initial rate in the debit invoice.
