Traceability

If you have entered a traceability code on the part, this means that during arrival reporting of purchase orders, a window will open to allow you to enter a batch number, etc.

During arrivals from reporting of manufacturing orders, the manufacturing order number is entered as the batch number. This number will "stick" until withdrawal, via the location table.

During stock withdrawals for manufacturing, a record is always posted to the batch number register, if you have given the part traceability. If no traceability code has been set, you can manually enter the respective batch number during material withdrawals for manufacturing.

During delivery for customer orders, the batch number will be logged in the delivery log.

A configurable part should be registered with Traceability to make the requirements planning and inventory valuation work. When a part is linked to a configuration group, a recommendation appears saying that traceability should be set for the part.

Please read more about Traceability in the Using MONITOR Procedures guide.
