Here you can find more general information about the part taken from the Manufacturing module, under different buttons. This information appears in a separate window which also allows you to print the information.
The Enough material for Button
This button is activated if the quantity is > 0 in the field Material quantity under Preparation info. Here you can see the quantity of parts that can be manufactured right now considering the stock balance and cleared quantity for the incorporated material (for both manufacturing and customer orders). The incorporated material with the lowest availability will be shown first in the list. The Lead time column shows the replacement time for each material. The Ordered column shows if any orders exist for the material.
The calculation of "Enough material for" has a few limitations that might be good to know about. The calculation does not consider overflow on operation when calculating how many units that can be manufactured. The calculation also does not consider setup quantity on material rows or alternate preparation.
The Where-used Button
This button opens a window where you can see in which structures the parts are used. The window works in the same way as the Where-Used procedure in the Manufacturing module. For a closer description of the window, please see the help function for that procedure.
The Saved Calculations Button
Here you find information taken from previously saved calculations, such as when and by whom, Price and Quantity, Cost factor alternative, Cost factor type, Throughput time, Subcontract, Materials, Processing and Comments, if any.
The Preparation... Button
This button is activated if the quantity is > 0 in the field Operations or Material quantity under Preparation info. By using this button, you open a window where you can see the part's operation list and BOM list. Here you can also see information about the incorporated manufactured parts by double-clicking on the row number in the BOM list. In this window you can also see linked documents and files (if any), linked tools, instructions for operations and material as well as any preparations changes.
The Manufacturing Order Log Button
Here you will find information taken from the part's manufacturing order log. For each reporting date, the following information is shown, starting with the latest reporting date: Date, Order number, Part number, Revision, Operation, Work center, Quantity, Setup time, Unit time, Rejects, Reject code, Employee number, by whom the reporting was performed, Procedure and Report number.
The Comment Button
Any comments that have been linked to the part in the Update Part procedure, under the Manufacturing tab, will be shown here. If the part also has linked files, you will see an extra button to the right that will open the Document Viewer.
