Alternatives

Period Length Interval 1

Here you enter the period length for interval 1 in number of weeks, usually 1-2 weeks.

Periods in Interval 1

Here you enter how many periods with period length according to interval 1 you want to display in the list.

Period Length Interval 2

Here you enter the period length for interval 2 in number of weeks, usually 4 weeks.

Reset Forecast Up to

Here you will find the alternatives Present time and Present time + Lead time.

Regardless of which settings you have configured and which selections you have made. all forecast rows in past time will be reset.

If you select Present time, the selected forecast codes' forecast rows in past time will be reset.

If you select Present time+Lead time, also the selected forecast codes' forecast rows that are within the part's lead time will be reset (the general lead time under Planning info | Planning tab | Update Part procedure).

Use Initial Delivery Period

The deduction can be made against current or initial delivery period on the order row. Initial delivery period is selected by default.

The initial delivery period (the promised delivery period to customer) is normally selected since the customer probably has forecasted and then placed the order according to the forecast.

Deduct from Previous Forecast if Customer Order Exceeds Forecast

If you check this box, the forecasts will also be deducted for previous periods provided that a customer order exists that exceeds the period's forecasted quantity. See the example below:

If you do not check this box it will result in the following:

The forecast for period 2 and 3 has been redistributed in order to manage the large customer order for period 4.
