Level
Under Level you select how detailed you want the requirement calculation list to be. The available alternatives are:
- Detailed - the list shows detailed information for all periods that have transactions. The list shows the ordered and reserved quantity for all customer, manufacturing and purchase orders, as well as material requirements, within the planning horizon. If you select this alternative, you can let the system create order suggestions. You can also enter your own suggestions.
- Total - the list shows the totals for all periods that have transactions. The list shows the ordered and reserved quantity as a total per transaction type and period, within the planning horizon. If you select this alternative, you can let the system create order suggestions. However, you cannot enter your own suggestions.
- Compact - (default) the list shows more compact information for each part that contains transactions. The list shows the current balance, ordered and reserved quantity, as well as available balance information, as a total per part within the planning horizon. If you select this alternative, you cannot create order suggestions. This list is used when you have to check shortages for a large number of parts at the same time.
For a more rational requirement calculation, we suggest you first use the Compact list to quickly get an overview of the parts that will have shortages within your planning horizon. Then you can use Detailed to generate order suggestions to cover these shortages. And finally, you can generate orders based on these order suggestions. The different levels of the list are described in more detail under Printout Samples.
