Balance/Budget Summary
In the middle of the window there are eleven columns that show balance information about the current account, specified for each period. The information in the columns cannot be edited by the user. These are:
- Period - This column shows the number of all the accounting year's accounting periods. The current period is highlighted in red. TIP! If you click any optional period, the general ledger for the selected period is shown.
- Debit - This column shows the total amount that has been charged on the account for each period, i.e. the debit balance.
- Credit - This column shows the total amount that has been credited on the account for each period, i.e. the credit balance.
- Period balance - This column shows the period balance for each period.
- Accumulated balance - This column shows the account balance at the end of each period.
- Period budget - This column shows the budget for each period.
- Accumulated budget - This column shows the accumulated budgeted balance at the end of each period.
- Previous accumulated balance - This column shows the accumulated balance from the same period last year.
- Index - This column shows a comparison in percentage between the accumulated balance and the corresponding value last year.
- Forecasts - This column shows the forecast for each period.
- Accumulated forecast - This column shows the accumulated forecast.
