If you use the supplement Warehouse Management you can here select a warehouse (WH) for a cost center or cost unit.
The WH code in the table is not a mandatory selection, but can be used to enable the system to automatically select the correct cost center/cost unit, depending on to which warehouse the user is logged on when the purchase/customer order is created.
The feature is suitable for those who have structured their system so that a warehouse is the equivalent to a cost center or cost unit in the accounting. Another condition is that, on the sales/purchase account, the sub-objects Cost center/Cost unit must be configured with Warehouse or Warehouse - Mandatory.
Please note that you can not link more than one cost center or cost unit to a certain warehouse. The purpose of linking a warehouse to a cost center/cost unit is that the system will recognize the warehouse to which the user is logged on and automatically select the correct cost center/cost unit when coding the purchase/sales order.
