Activate own defaults / field properties?
This setting determines if it should be possible or not to enter your own default values in fields that appear in Search Forms/Create tabs in all of the list procedures. This way, these values will already be filled-in when the procedure is opened by the user. You can also load several different saved values. These features are very useful for lists that are often generated using the same values in the Search Form/Create tab. The setting is activated by default.
Under the Window heading in the Window menu there are two alternatives that concern this setting; Default values - Load default value and Default values - Save default value. Also read the Saving and loading default values in Search Forms in the chapter called MONITOR General Information in the MONITOR Basics guide to better understand this window.
This setting also determines if you should be able to use the Property Management. The Property Management is found under Settings in the Window menu.
